Irving = Isaiah?

Talking about Isaiah Berlin the other day, I almost said Irving Berlin. But has anyone ever seen them together?

For instance, consider the lost first draft of the lyrics to the American standard "Let Yourself Go" from Follow the Fleet. (Note: Before doing this, you may want to read the comments to this post.)

The link to the Story of Wiston Churchill inviting the wrong Berlin over needs a little background. At the time Isiah Berlin was the British representative (not sure of of the prcise official capacity) in Washington. Churchill had been extremely impressed by his brilliant and incisive dispatches. His disappointment in the conversation is somewhat understandable.

Irving was the son of a rabbi, while Isaiah - of a timber merchant! Go figure.
